Our Baptist Men (Brotherhood) meet for breakfast and a guest speaker.  This is open to all men and boys.  Various members of the Brotherhood participate as the “cooks for the month”.  This is held in the Fellowship Hall.

Men’s Basketball is available on Monday nights to boys 7^th grade & up and adult men.  They meet at 8 p.m. on Monday nights out in the gym. Again, no sign up is required, just come when you can!

Men’s Bible Study meets in the Conference Room on the second floor of the Family Life Center. Various topics are studied with different men taking the lead each month.

Ladies’ Care Circle is made up of women in the church who have an interest in ministering to our shut-ins and elderly.  Occasionally, however, they will minister to our college students and to other special needs within the church family.  They are also volunteers for Heart to Heart Hospice and send out cards and letters each month to patients.  This group meets in the Fellowship Hall.  They always begin with a devotional and end with a time of refreshments.

The Women’s Ministry meets for their regular meetings in the Fellowship Hall. During these monthly meetings, they enjoy a time of refreshments and have a devotional time and a program of some sort. They have sponsored such events as a “Tasting Tea”, “Mother/Daughter Dinner”, a “Spa Night”, a “Ladies’ Saturday Morning Brunch”, etc. The plans for this year also include a “Cookie Swap” and a “Movie Night” in addition to repeating some of our favorites from last year. This is open to all women of the church (college-age & up).

Ladies’ Aerobics is offered twice a week. During our Upward basketball season, they meet in the Choir Room which is on the second floor of the Family Life Center. Various exercise videos are watched and the fun and laughs abound as the ladies have a special time together to concentrate on fitness. It is not necessary to sign up for Aerobics. All that is required is to show up with some comfortable clothes on and some energy! Some of the ladies bring hand weights and mats, but those are not required.

• Ladies Aerobics is taking a break during May, June and July and will resume in August. 
• However, they gym is a great place for the ladies to come at their convenience to walk.

The Senior Adults have planned activities at various times during the year with a variety of interests. You’ll have to watch the calendar for those events! They have a “Domino group” and also have the “J.O.Y. Group” under the umbrella of “Senior Adult” activities.

The Outreach Group meets in the Game Room or Fellowship Hall. They get together and write cards to absentees, those who are sick or grieving, those who have received accolades for accomplishments in the community, etc. This is open to men or women.

Our Youth program is headed up by Kevin Tribble, Youth Minister. Kevin & his wife, Laura, are in charge of the Bible Study on Sunday nights during Discipleship Training and on Wednesday nights during Youth Worship. One of the ministries that comes under the heading of the FBC Youth Program is our “Puppets 4 Him”. This group has gone to several other churches and functions in our areas to perform and witness. Laura also works with the Youth Choir from time to time on music that is presented during our worship services. The Youth Suite is on the second floor of the Family Life Center and is designed for the comfort and enjoyment of our teenagers!

Watch the calendar for special Youth events. During the summer, the Youth have “Open Gym Nights” as well as some other special events. Bro. Kevin plans something special just about every month for the youth (Grades 7-12).

The Upward Basketball league is open to children Age 5 – Grade 6. The motto for this league is “Every Child is a Winner!” . It is a Christian based athletic program where the children are taught the basics of basketball while learning Bible verses and good sportsmanship. It is a competitive league with an edge ~ it uses a rotation system so that every child gets to play the same amount of time in each game regardless of athletic ability. A devotional is given during the halftime of each game played. The participants are awarded stars for learning their Bible verses. Within the Upward program, there is also the opportunity for girls who want to be cheerleaders rather than play basketball.

The Multimedia Ministry at First Baptist Church is for the purpose of reaching out to the lost community with the Gospel Of Jesus Christ, and providing them an opportunity to receive Christ into their lives by means of television, radio, or by means of the internet. It is also a means of providing an opportunity for the ones unable to attend our regular services whether due to sickness or health reasons to stay focused on the ultimate goal to Glorify GOD as we EXALT THE SAVIOR, EVANGELIZE THE SINNER, AND EQUIP THE SAINT. The Information Technology Ministry at First Baptist Church is crucial for the upkeep and the current status of our information network. This includes the web site and any other information systems utilized by the church. We work hand-in-hand with Multimedia Ministry to extend the reach of our local contacts by means of television and radio to include the vast reaches of the internet by posting audio sermons and choir/gospel music for anyone to download at their convenience.

“Saturday Nite Life” is a time of food and fellowship - bring finger foods and some cards, board games, dominoes, etc. This is held in the Fellowship Hall. This began as an extension of our “New Year’s Eve Game Night & Fellowship”. We enjoyed our time together as a church family so much we decided to do it on a monthly basis. Whatever your interest, be it board games, cards, or dominoes or just watching the big screen TV, you can come and be with the church family as we all enjoy it together.
